Got A Couple Of Common Plecos

Hey a few days ago I wandered in to the lfs and in one of the tanks was a comon pleco, the very same type they sold me a couple of weeks before, only this one looked like it'd been feeding on some radioactive material, it was massive. I asked the guy in the fish shop how old it was and he told me about 18 months. it was over a foot long, a real big bugger.

Is this right ? cos if it is ive got 2 of em in my tank atm and if they get that big, that quick i doubt my tank will be big enough (juwel vision 260, pic in me sig). Getting a bit worried cos i dont want to get rid of them, they look ace but if there going to get massive very quick.... well i dont know what to do.

Yep, its pretty normal that they get this big. Most LFS never bother telling people how big they can get too.

I think that common plecos are just a big fat ugly algae eating fish.
