I don't think there is much i can do for him, he seems very distressed. He was fine yesterday, eating and everything and i went to see the 2 of them this morning (other one swimming around, very lively as usual) and he was at the bottom of the tank with his face towards the gravel. He can't seem to move from there and is gasping quite a lot. Any ideas what is wrong? What can i do?

Need more info on your tank and have you a test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? How many gallons is the tank and how big are the fish. Have you introduced anything new recently?
How often do you clean them out and what are you feeding?
Is he headstanding? That could mean either a diet high in flakes which are causing gasses to form in the gut. Another is kidney damage due to poor water quality and another is parasites. As it came on quickly and the other is fine then it may well be the diet or kidney failure.

Another reason for headstanding is exhaustion. Has the other fish been chasing it?
