Looks more like aiptasia to me. Bad news, i would try and get rid of it ASAP using kalk paste and/or inject it with boiling water. They can quickly spread and will sting anything in their path.

yeah well i thought it may have been, but I have a copperband who just swims past, why wont it have a munch on it!!

is it in a spot with wierd current where the copperband may not be comfortable feeding. What other livestock is in the tank. I just got a peppermint to get rid of mine and he's cool as hell when he's out.....jsut a thought

Yeah I was wanting a peppermint but my lfs say they are hard to find at the moment so its a no go'er.

Could it be a bit big for the copperband do you think?

Could be. I still think your best bet is to cover it in kalk, inject with boiling water or get some joes juice. You know what happens if your CBB takes a nibble and spits it out don't you? MORE AIPTASIA!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

If it leaves even the smallest, itsy bitsy, teeny tiny piece of the aiptasia on the rock, the little bugger will grow back. Its almost impossible to just pull them off, short of removing the rock and breaking that section off, or using a wire brush all over the area.
