Quick question. I am creating a fry tank. I have 55 gallon freshwater and I am getting a small all in one betta tank to put my fry in. The angel fish are just hunters Anyway, I was planning to put in live plants (floating) wisteria anacharis and ghost shrimp for cleaning and keep tank going when there are no fry.
The question is Will ghost shrimp eat the fry?
Thank you in advance

No, they will not eat live fry.

If some of the fry die, the shrimp will eat their body, as they are a good cleanup crew.

They do hunt sometimes. If any of the fry move slowly they may be caught and eaten.

Yes, that is correct, I actually forgot that.

They are slow hunters though, and unless the fry are super slow/sick, they will most likely not catch them.

Thanks guys
Now I am totally confused LOL
It is like Covid 19
You must stay home unless you need to go out.

Im going to try the shrimp and nerite snail for a cleaning crew.
Thanks

Short story, yes, they will eat slow/sick fry.

If all of your fry are healthy, then no, they won’t eat them. As we said they are slow hunters. :)

I wouldn't trust it. Ghost shrimp can be excellent hunters.

Id opt instead for an Amano shrimp
