I have recently set up a tank for my 12 platy fry and have a pregnant ghost shrimp in there.

She was pregnant before in the community tank. Her green eggs after she had carried them turned greyish and disappeared. We're they born and eaten or did they die?

Any tips for more success this time? I know I've already increased their odds by having a separate tank, and will obviously return her to the community tank if I get babies.

Baby shrimp are very small. Half a centimetre mine are right now and if fish are present they will hide.
Just give it time and try not to move the shrimp too much as any stress the female will abandon the eggs.

Good Luck

Does she exhibit any different behaviour when she's about to give birth? And does she lay eggs that then hatch or will they hatch as they're laid? IE will I find eggs or babies in the tank?
