just thought id let u know that bunch of my guppe/molly fry went missing... and i caught mr ghost shrimp with 1 in his mouth.... crazy ghostie eating my fry

Lower your tank temp. If ghost shrimp temp gets high (like ninety) they become formidable hunters and will eat full grown guppies (I saw a two inch male ghost shrimp take out a 1.5 inch male guppy in a tank a school).

Interesting...ghost shrimp tend to be nocturnal and very passive...
But then again it was just a fry. I cant see this happening with any ful grown fish.

Try feeding them blood worms to kep their appetite down. Get them some shade, too, because if this happened while the lights were on, then the shrimp have no place to hide until dark and are pretty agitated.

could the fry have died and the shrimp acted upon opportunity?

nope... the fry was still wriggling around in mr ghosties jaws... i got mr ghosty off of him but the fry died... mr ghosty now lives in my 20 gallon community tank.... nothing there for him to grab i dont think
