hey all I have 6 electric yellows and I was wondering if there was a good way to get some greens into my my tank with out haveing to just leave them floating on the surface. I gave them some celery leaves last night I was making soup. and I gave them some from the celery that I used and they have yet to touch it.

With small fish you can just attach the leaves to a rock or ornament with a elastic band but larger ones tend to eat the band as well! You should be able to buy a purpose made "lettuce grip"which you attach to the side with a suction cup from your lfs, these are probably the best way to go,quick simple and easy to remove after.

;) Don't feed them for a couple of days then try again. :) Mac.

That is a great idea CFC. I will have to try that when I get the time..... YES I am still remodeling the upstairs of my house......will it ever end? well the tunnel is VERY DARK!!!!!

you can also pick up some of the weights that they make for plants and string a peice of veggie on it. will sink to the bottome of the tank. you want to watch with celery tops and pea shells. they can clog up your filter.

I like to blanch leaf lettuce and tie it together at the bottom with a coated twist tie. I tie the "plant" to a rock or piece of wood and watch the fish tear it apart. :D
Oh, and my fish won't touch anything that's not blanched first.
