Just a general ramble,

Cleaning my tank tonight (and moving several plants about) I noticed a nip on my right arm. I first thought I’d caught my arm on my reflector, thought nothing of it. About 5 minutes later the same thing happened again. When I glanced down, a rosy barb was trying to hack away at my arm. Now this is really new to me. I've kept rainbows, neon’s, plecs, angels, cories, botias etc over the years and nothing has ever tried to get me out the tank!!! Just wondered if anyone else has had similar experiences?

Russ

By the way, just had to mention, my wife and i had a baby boy about 3 weeks ago. Just like to shout it out!!! :D :D :D

Yeah I’ve had different barbs nibble on my hand, other nibblers are shrimp, Siamese flying foxes, neons bettas. I guess they get so used of seeing a hand in the water and associate it with food that they aren’t afraid. There’s that spa in Turkey where small barbs nibble on peoples skin, patients with skin disorders go from all over the world to have the fish treatment. They get in the water with the fish and let them nibble away at any loose skin. The claim is that it is very healing for the skin.

Great news about your new boy, congrats.
