Hello guys!
I'm a french animals stan and french engineer.
I'm on a project of making a device able to make the settings easier and cheaper for a reptile enclosure or an aquarium. And for that, I need opinions from enclosure/aquarium holder. So if you please can answer to the poll ^^
I'll globally explain you what I'm about to work on.
I'll built an electronics box able to control several devices like light or heater. We ll be able to connect it with our phone, even if we are in another country, to control all the settings. We'll make light able to be control in time, spectrum and power, heater carpet thermostatically-controlled only by our device, and other future ideas.
How much can you afford to pay for each of these devices ? I ll use only excellent quality device so you can be sure about it.

It sounds like an interesting project if you have the skills and you can certainly make your own much cheaper than the chihiros example. I have seen some interesting Raspberry Pii projects although I can't remember where.
Is it important to control or monitor remotely? I use Inkbird controllers for heating such as https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07WV42NX2/?tag=. I have this one which I can monitor by phone in one tank, the other 3 have the non wifi version. For lighting I use this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WT8VK28/?tag=ff0d01-20. I posted a US link because that is exactly what I have - cannot see it in UK at present but there are identical looking units on Amazon, but as they are a different brand I am not in a position to recommend. It is not accessible remotely but I prefer to set it and forget it

Thank you verry much for your answer :D I looked into your links, that's the kind of things my device'll be able to do, but because I'll need only one "clever" part, the full system gonna be cheaper (one reason, but not the only one) and one device will be able to control several aquarium/enclosure, so even cheaper and easier to set ;)
And yes, I do have skills to do it (me and ma teammates), we just need enough time for it ! ah ah
