So im getting my new tank tomorrow, just under 60 gallons, nice and deep too.

I currently have 2 firemouths, 2 corries, a plec and 4 scissortails.

What is compatible with the above? Would like something with a bit of personality, a guy at Wharf recommended an Oscar, green terror or texas cichlid.

Any other suggestions? Still undecided.

Cheers. :good:

Nice suggestion! :good:
Really great pics come up on google images!
Had a look at the care sheet too, seems well suited so far.
Are they okay to keep individually? or do they need company?

Top up the Corys and scissortails first. I would go for a severum over any of the others too.

A 60 gallon is way to small for an oscar. You could do one of the smaller severums, a rotkeil (red-shouldered) or a true severum mouthbrooder also known as just Heros sp. I was told by the very knowledgeable people here that the 60 gallon is too small for the Green, Gold, and Red severums they are known as Heros Efasciatus. They grow to 10-12 inches while Heros sp. is about 8.

Look at my 60 gallon in my signature for an idea.
