Help! One of my fish has got white fluffy stuff coming out of his side, have treated the tank with "king British - fungus and fin rot treatment" but so far nothing is happening.
The fish has been floating upside down at the top of tank for around an hour but is now swimming again.

Please help!

what kind of fish?
how long has he had it?
what tank size?
what other fish are kept with him?
what are the stats of the tank?
how long have you had the tank?

i would say put him in a hospital tank that has been cycled to limit stress... then add salts (can never hurt unless your fish has no scales)... then treat again... upload a pic of what it looks like... and raise temp...

Ok,
He's a bala shark
I've had him a year
The tank is 200 litres
The other fish are : 5 platys, 8 mollies, 5 neon tetras, 1 pleco and 1 other bala shark.
I don't know what the stats are
And have had the tank a year
I would send a photo but can't work out how to do it!

I don't currently have a hospital tank but I may be able to get one, would it be ok to raise temp and add salts to the normal tank?
Thanks

Are these the same stock from the 60l tank? If so it could be the move that stressed things and resulted in an infection.

Generally fungal type infections are a result of something else, with bala's probably the tank being too small for them and them bashing around as they tend to.

Plenty of fresh water is good.

A picture is fairly easy to upload if it's the right size with the upload button, or you can get an account with someone like photobucket and run the picture from there. There are instructions lying around somewhere, in fact, after a quick dig around, here;

OK, so I managed to not hit paste, but it was there in my mind, honestly.
