Livestock: clown loaches
Age and condition: v young (about 6cm long)
Quantity for sale: 3
Reason for Sale: see below
Delivery or Collection: collection
Sales price: free to a good home
Location: Kent - Ashford/Maidstone area
Bought these a few weeks ago, a rush of blood to the head which in retrospect was a mistake. Three is not a big enough group to thrive and I don't have the capacity to increase the group size (tank is 240litre/ 4 foot which even 3 CLs will eventually outgrow). On top of this I learnt subsequently they need a soft substrate like sand - the aquarium has Dorset Pea Gravel.
They are housed in a planted tank with danios, harlequins and bristlenoses. There is no history of disease or fish death in the tank. pH a little on the high side (Kent hard water), NO2 stable around zero, temperature 25C. The fish are healthy if a little timid, and are fed a mixture of live ramshorn snails, manufactured sinking food (Tetra Wafer mix & Tetra Prima mini granules - they are too shy to come to the surface to feed), and occasional vegetables (peas/cucumber).
These are free to anyone who is able to collect all three and provide a more appropriate home.
