sounds like maybe corys

well its still alive and well this morning, what would be the best food to feed it with?

I'd certainly try some flake food that is really pulverized as at least something until some more of our members come forward with other questions/ideas. Its hard since its not really identified yet. WD

here are some pics, not the clearest, but if anyone can id it,would be great

i wouldnt say it was scarlet so id say other id also feed it crushed flake (but preferably bbs)

getting more like rosy tetra, must just have been lucky, didn't think they would breed in my tank

Fish like tetras often spawn in tanks, it's just either the conditions aren't right for the eggs to develop or they all get gobbled up...then if any hatch they have to evade larger hungry fish till they're a non edible size...lol.
So this one must be a very lucky and crafty fish. I don't envy you if you ever have to net it!
