I decided to ask what was in my local water supply.. Just to check for chloramines and things.. this i what they sent of anyone is interested.. (its dec o4.. but at least its an idea of whats in there now.. its a test from the tilford area)

OOh.. theres cyanide in it.. ;)

OK.. heres an example.. find the title in the first column for nitrate. The second column shows you how its measured. In this case it is milligrams per litre (mg/l) which is the same as parts per million (ppm). The last three columns show you the minimum, average and maximum levels in the water.. In this case, the maximum nitrate level is 3 mg/l or ppm. I was pretty happy about this, as at least my water changes are doing something to help keep the nitrates low. For people with 40ppm or up to 50ppm (which is allowed... see the PCV column) this makes keeping your nitrates down a little more difficult.

It's a shame those reports are usually so outdated :/ I think the one I got from Thames water was also over a year old.
 
Did you find out if your supply was Chloraminated in the end Squid?
