I am planning to get my Dad a Fluval Edge for his birthday, he has had many aquariums in the past, and i am also keen fish keeper. Does anyone have any opinions or advie on these tanks? as far as i can see they are pretty good

i find them a bit on the small side
which means small stocking levels
and so many people get confused as
to what they can keep in them i don't
think there any good for fish
maybe some living rock then you need to skim
plants and fresh water shrimp as a nice look
hey but that's only my opinion

i really like the look of the fluval edge but of course it is quite small so stocking wise you are limited ,but then it depends on what type of setup you want.If you want a tank that is not big and not too many fish etc etc then i would get it,maybe think first of which fish you want to keep in there or have a look at other fluval edge setups and go from there to try and replicate that

For me it just isn't worth the money for how many draw backs there are. If I were you I'd definitely opt for something a bit bigger and easier to maintain such as an arcadia arc 35l tank. They're still stylish but much more practical.

AGREED :good:

Yeah, i see all of your points!
the ony reason i am planning to get something so small is because my Mum is not keen on the idea!
Thanks for the advice!
