I regulary clean my tank and gravel vac every water change (weekly), I have a Tetratec EX700 filter running. Problem is there's always small bits floating round the tank, the filter is pumping water out fast so I don't think there is a problem there. I think it is the position of the intake/outlet, the tank is a trigon 190 so it's kinda limited to their positions, does anyone else have this problem? or can recommend the best position for the inlet/outlet? I have tried altering the outlet flow direction but it doesn't help, it's getting annoying and can't be good for the fish.

Thanks

Andy

Oh, and filter aid doesn't help either

Hi
I had the same problem with my Juwel Vision 180 (planted) and Tetratec EX700.
It took a bit of experimenting with positioning the spraybar, direction of the jets and adjusting the flow rate.
I finally ended up with full flow rate, full length bar a long the back of the tank (pointing left) with the intake in the righthand rear corner.
I also removed the stopper at the end of the spraybar to reduce the turbulance.
Don't expect instant results, give it a few hours to see how effective a new position/flow rate is.
It can be frustrating, took me at least 6 goes before I was happy with it.
Good luck... :good:

I guess all I can do is play with the inlet/outlet :( the 190's shape makes it limited as to where they can be placed, ah well if at first you don't succeed............
