Hello so when I went to go pick up some floaters (plants) for my fish tank to help with heavy metals but when I went to the pet store they said they are not aloud to keep them but luckily I have a friend that could help but if he cant do that what should I do? Also do you have any ideas why they are not aloud?

Its likely they could be invasive in your country - as in if they got out of your tank into the water ways (through a drain etc) then it would take over the natural environment.

You could look at using some plants as floating rather than typical floating plants? Things like Hornwort or Pennywort dont need to be rooted and will do a good job floating at the surface.

Ok thx for the help I did a little bit of research in on of the areas there was an out break of this floating plant and I think thats why do you think I should be able to get from my friend or will that be illegal as well

Also hi Will did you hear about my tank with the heavy metal or parasite problem?
