Is there a preferred way to tie moss to wood? Is is better to tie clumps of moss or to aim for fewer strands and let them become dense with time?
I've some moss on order that I am going to be attaching to Redmoor wood, but thinking if I just slap it on it may not take hold as easily.

It depends what moss if im honest, flame moss is slow growing, something like java moss is fast growing.

the best way is to use fishing line, just lay out a nice line of moss on the wood and wrap the line round it and tie it off. In no time at all you will see it growing and the line will be hidden.
