Hi all, i'm new to keeping tropical fish and have recently bought a 45 litre tank (about 10 gallons) with filter and heater. I have added gravel substrate and some accessories, treated the water with dechlorinator, and i have started to cycle my tank using ammonia solution. I added around 2ml of ammonia on the first day to reach around 3-4ppm, i check the levels of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate etc every 24 hours with King British testing strips, and add small amounts to top it back up to around 3-4ppm. However on the second day my tank has gotten very cloudy, what could this be?

It's just a bacterial bloom, nothing to worry about and it will clear up on its own in a few days.

Just a quick heads up - a lot of people on here have their doubts about the accuracy of test strips. You may wish to invest in a liquid test kit like the API one, they're usually much more accurate and reliable.
