Fish With A Bad Diet

My newest boesemani rainbow fish will only eat blood worms and daphnia . When i first got him he would only eat frozen bloodworms now he will eat freeze drid ones. He didn't eat at all the first week i got him then i bought him some bloodworms and he went crazy over them. Now i've had him for a month and he is in a 55gal with 2 other boesemanis and he still won't eat any flakes. Is there any way i can get him to eat better?

Have you tried just stopping feeding the bloodworms? He'll probably come around once he gets hungry. Even if he doesn't eat for a week, he'll be OK. It takes a while for a fish to starve, especially if you've been fattening him up on bloodworms and daphnia!

Logically, the fish HAS to eat, and naturally he will eat once he gets to the point of starvation. If the only food avaidable are the flakes, he will be forced to eat it.
