Fish Recommendations Please

Ive just purchased my first tank ever (21 gallon if my calculations were correct), ive wanted one for ages.

im just siting here thinking of what fish im going to get, already have a few in mind but would like to know what would go well with these..any other hints or tips welcome too

Neon Tetras - school of 6
Albino Corys - 2
Pleco - 1 species that only grows to 4-5 inches (hopefully lol)

Ive read all about cycling and read pretty much all the guides on here, so much my brain hurts lol.I bought this book too which goes into even more detail about cycling and other things.

i doubt ill get my first fish till around xmas. I need to buy the decor and substrate etc plus i was recommended an eheim external filter by my local expert which is around £100 so i have a while to do a lot more research so im fully prepared.

Ok, sorry to be a nag, I personaly didnt read up & killed my first four fish so i dont want the same to happen to someone else.


Kudos on doing the research.

The tank may be a bit small for the plec, apart from that it looks good.

no problem, i didnt mention it so always best to point out the nitrogen cycle to beginners

i have my heart set on a plec so hopefully a bulldog plec or something similar will be suitable for my tank size
