Fish not eating...

We started out with six female betta fish from the same aquarium. One of them stopped eating after about a month and then eventually died then another one stopped eating and after a couple of weeks eventually died now a third has stopped eating....
Why

Probably stress related. Do they hide or sit at the bottom only occasionally rising for air? What size aquarium do you have them in?

When asking about issues like this, members like to have all relevant data. In addition to the two questons in post #2, it also helps to know the results of any tests (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) of water conditions, and water parameters (pH, temperature, GH). Your maintenasnce...frequency and volume of partial water changes, etc; foods fed. Other fish (if any) in the same aquarium. The more data we have, the easier to pin down the possibilities.
