I've been doing a fish-in cycle and my last reading two days ago (Day 31) was 0ppm for Ammonia, 3ppm for Nitrites, and approx. 10ppm for Nitrates. Last night, I added a UV led to accent a decoration in the tank. It had very limited area that it shined on. However, I checked the water today and Ammonia, Nitrites, and Nitrates all tested 0ppm. What is the reason for this? Could the UV led have caused this? I highly doubt this, but what else could cause all levels to be so low???

Did you test a second time? Maybe something went wrong with the tests? That sounds so weird

I'll test again in the morning. I tested with my strips earlier in the day and got 0 on all of them. So, I bought the API master test kit to get a more accurate representation and got the same results. I agree, weird.

Are you following the instruction right? Perhaps these results are right. The 3ppm you got could just be the false reading.
