A varied diet is important. In my opinion, try to feed at least 4-5 different foods. Since your puffer is only eating krill and mussel, I suggest looking at basic frozen foods such as bloodworm, enriched brine shrimp, ocean plankton, tubifex, etc. etc. More importantly, you need access to hard shelled foods. Puffers have fast growing teeth, and they need hard shelled foods to grind them down. If they do not have hard shelled foods, their teeth will overgrow to the point of them not being able to eat, then die. Hard shelled foods such as snails, prawns, clams etc.

Have a look at this Puffer Food thread.
