Basicaly I want to find out what I should be feeding my tetras, plec and loaches and what is best for them.

Thanks :)

Other, variety.

Search for "food" or "feed" and you'll discover lots of threads containing ideas you may not have even thought of.

Other, variety.

 They do best with a varied diet. Flakes can be a staple, and then you can alternate in some high protein foods and veggies. I'm assuming we are talking about general tropical community fish here. Other fish may have different feeding needs. :)

I picked them options because they are the ones that I have tryed, and yes it is a tropical community.

other- a combo of all the things listed and then more is needed to keep ANY fish healthy. do some research and find out what they eat. just giving a fish one type of food may inhibit what else they need nutritively speaking.

Variety is a necessity, but I voted for flake food because it generally is the most nutritious. Flake is the best staple if your fish will eat it :)

Other - Variety, I give my community fish flakes and bloodworms mostly, but I make sure to give them other foods at random.

Other - feed them a mixture of what you have listed and I would also give the plec cucumber.

They will also appreciate live bloodworm or daphina. You should be able to get some from your LFS

other: I feed a variety of:

flakes
frozen bloodworm
live bloodworm
live daphnia (on the rare occasions the store has some)
small pellets (for the small mouths of the neons)
larger pellets (for the bigger mouths, and they sink faster to them)
algae wafers
and fish treats (the "stick on" food)

Have found the stick on food and fish treats to be great if i dont have alot of time to feed them that day, stick it on and it slowly releases, meaning most of it gets eaten over an hour or so.

Im just starting to experiment with random food such as peas (no luck so far) chopped lettuce leaves (they like) bits of orange.

actually, am away to go have a look at the betta section for more details on these guys diets.
