ok well im looking for a good flake food. i have a community tank. 55 gallons. so whats some things that i should look for in food and some thing that i should watch out for. becuase i want only the best for my fish. i have had my tank up for about two months. and yes it is cycled but i have been using different foods but i have no clue what is better or worse for my fish ... thanks for all of the help andy

I use tetramin, which is pretty expensive, at $5 usd a small bottle (here in mexico anyways) and my fish really seem to like it ,they flock around when i open the hatch to feed them... besides, it has vitamins and a whole lot of stuff to improve their color and health... there are for tropical, coldwater, and a cichlid version as well.

Read the ingredients on the back of the container. They list the ingredients with the largest amount first, just like food for humans. If it starts with wheat, you are feeding your fish mostly that.

Omega One is one of the better foods out there, once again read the ingredients.
