Unfortunately my Tarquin has been attacked by another fish. I have returned the rogue fish to the aquarium and swapped it for a different one. He attacked my orange goldfish and has shredded its tail and it looks a right mess. It seems to have lost its bouyancy. I have taken it out of the tank and put it in treated water with salts. The ends of its shredded tail have now turned black and the fish is just hanging in the water for long periods of time...... what should I do.

It's an oranda.... can anyone advise me..... I think it will die.

These fish have a hard time staying bouyant even in tip top shape.
With tail and fin danage they will tire quick.
Worry not all will sort itself out naturally

Keep an eye on him as he might of damaged the swim bladder.

Will he recover? Should I keep him in a separate bowl or put him back in with the two black moores, 3 cloud mountain minnows, albino orlando and hillstream loach.

I would rather he was back in with his mates where the water is filtered rather than a fish bowl.

Put it back in the tank, a bowl is not ideal for a hospital tank. Hospital tanks need to have filtration & at least 10 gal in size.
