I finally have my 75 gallon up and running

some fish were given to me and I felt so bad for them because they had pretty bad ich and there were several large fish in a smaller tank.

The angels were two that were given to me and their fins look horrible. they had pretty bad ich which I have treated and they seem to be doing better but I have never kept angels before.

I was never a big fan of angelfish, but I actually like the ones I have and they have nice little personalities.

I can't tell if mine are male or female and from what I have read, it seems pretty hard to tell for sure. I know that they always stay with each other and it seems like they have made a little territory right by the heater.

My question mainly is will these angels ever grow their fins back or will they always look torn and tattered? Is there anything I can do to help their fins?

I also have some other fish in the tank. What do you keep with your angels?

I have the 2 angels, 4 german blue rams, 1 gold gourami, 1 honey gourami, 6 black skirt tetras, and 1 red fin shark.

Given time, and extra water changes their fins will grow back just fine.

keep an eye on mixing gouramis as down the line they may not tolerate each other and the red fin shark may eventually grow too large/territorial as I believe a 5-6 foot tank is a minimum for them.

With my angels I kept german blue rams, cardinals, harlequins and corydoras. Now my angels are separated into their own tank as they are a spawning pair and were terrorizing everything else in my tank.

oh it is actually a red tail shark. the whole body is dark with a red/orange tail.

I was worried about the gourami and at first they fought a little but now they can swim right next to each other without any problems.

I think I may re-home my 2 other rams as my other 2 have formed a pair and the female is a mean little bugger.

My friend is giving me his 75 gallon tank so I will most likely start setting that up as a back up plan

I think I might also re-home the black skirt tetras. I am not fond of them, they were just given to me from someone else's tank.
