Hello,
After buying a Biorb 30ltr flow, then finding this place... and finding out that they are not the best tanks to keep fish in..
I have bought a Fluval roma 90 and a Tetra EX600..
I am just about to start setting it up, and have a question about the filter..
With the help of you lovely people the biorb seems to have cycled.
So what I intend to do is start a fishless cycle with the new tank, and in about a week when I have had constant zeros for Ammonia nad Nitrite from the biord is to remove say half of the sponge filter, and some of the substrate.
Then put this in the external filter to help with the cycle.
Now I guess from reading that I put this in the bottom tray of the filter?
Also..
Do I need all the other stuff in the filter (ceramic rings, bio balls and carbon) whilst in cycle ?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
