I will attach an image of my other male, although it doesn't really show just how metallic he is. He is also the male that doesn't care if you watch him build. He collects algae from the floating ring in his tank and includes that in his nests, so very often I will take the cover off the tank and find a huge green nest.
On the lily, I found it quite easy to grow although it was slow to start and my corydora did like to disturb the bulb before it was fully rooted in. The PH of that tank is right around 6.8 with the temperature at 26c or 79f and I find that it does great at those levels. It may be that different lily types will be better suited to different conditions. Mine is a Nymphaea Rubra.
