My new 20gallon has just decided it has finished its fishless cycle.
I have never done a tank of this size before so i was wondering
what stocking i could use. Would appreciate your ideas thanks.

Hi,

There are lots of options for a 20g, but can i ask first, just to be sure, how did you cycle your tank and how do you know the cycle is finished?

Cheers :good:

I agree with BTT,

We always really like hearing about how a person managed their fishless cycle, how long it took, what brand of ammonia and all those sorts of nitty-gritty details! It helps all the beginners and members out there.

Hi there Lewis, glad the cycle is done

really stocking is such a subjective thing that it's hard to make suggestions without at least some indication of what you like or are after.

For me some of the options would be a community set up with dwarf species like the pgymy cories, microrasbora, cherry shrimp, ottos etc or another choice would be a species tank for shell dwellers neolamprolugus multifascious

As MW said its a very personal matter. I am an endler breeder so to me a new 20 is more space for more endlers and their cleanup crew. Lately I have been using corydoras habrosus for the cleanup crew. MW called fish this size pygmy cories.
