I think I've finally got rid of my hair algae!!!!

I had a massive problem with hair algae. After cutting it out and weekly water changes, slowly increasing my ferts and dosing with carbo I have had no sign of it for a week now. My java moss is now growing nicely over my rocks and wooden archway. My tank now looks great.

wow, thats my dream! ive been doing the same as you but I can see it growing back in places, but I havent been increasing my ferts, maybe I should do that also....
I coud imagine what its like to finally be rid of a problem so good for you

I've got a 95l tank. I was originally dosing 10ml of the ei ferts. I increased it to 15ml and it still wasn't helping. I then increased it to 20ml of each bottle. I kept the lighting and dosing of liquid co2 the same and this has helped it greatly. This was over a timescale of 9-12 months of slowly increasing the ferts. I gave them a chance to work before I increased them.
