Hello all,

So I just started a water change and I noticed that one of my two Kribensis, the smaller one, seems to be missing part of her tail and has a lump near her tail. None of the other fish in the tank look anything like it. I only have 5 mollies and 2 Kribs, so I don’t think anything would be bullying her. I tried to get some pictures, but any thoughts would help. She does not really move her tail and just uses her fins to swim.

Water levels
Ammonia: .1
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0

(I can repost ammonia after I do water change usually it is below .05)

After the water change, you could bump the temperature up to 82 and put a tablespoon of rock salt per five gallons to try to speed the natural healing process. If that doesn't work, API Melafix is a good treatment for fin rot.

From your pictures, I couldn't even tell if the tail was rotted or just clamped.

Good luck. I raised Kribs as a kid. I hope yours do well.
