So one of my bettas that was delivered today seems to have settled in fine, but the other has slightly clamped fins. I've got the filter on a very low flow and left the light off. I've put about a 1/3 dose of melafix in the tank and all stats are fine. I've cloned the filter with media from my LFS. I tried him with a bloodworm and he went for it, then spat it out.
Could clamped fins still be from the stress of travelling? Anything else I should do?
:thanks:

What fin type is he, and when you mean 'clamped' do you just mean not flared, or do you mean pinned really tightly against the body? (The best ones to look at are the ventral fins - they are normally held against the sides while swimming, and hang downwards while resting. When the fish is 'clamped' he will hold the ventrals up all the time.)

Thanks laura, I think it was just from the stress of the travelling as he seems OK now :)
