I have owned eel's for a couple years now and I currently have four goldentail moray's, two banana eels and one tesselata eel as well as a bunch of other tanks with blueface angels, goldflake angels, batfishes, a golden puffer, alligator pipefishes and some others.

Anyways, I was looking at my LFS and noticed a eel I had not seen before, it was called a fimbriated eel, it looked so cool, anyone have any information on them?

I'm no eel expert, but I did a quick bit of research and found some info:

If it's a true Fimbriated Eel (there are several others that apparantly look similiar), it is the Gymnothorax fimbriatus and it also goes by other names e.g. Spot-Face Moray, Black Spotted Moray and Yellow-Headed Moray. Here's a few references that should help you find out more about them:

A google search for Gymnothorax fimbriatus also brings up quite a few photos to help you confirm identity.

Love the sound of your setups. Welcome to TFF. :)

sounds nice, but i think you're talking about a yellow-head eel
Yes, as she wrote, "also known as the Spot-Face Moray, Black Spotted Moray and Yellow-Headed Moray"
