Filter Question?

I rinsed out the green filter in old tank water, then I put it back in and turned the filter pump back on some cloudy dirt or something blew out the nozzle into the tank. What is this, and does it always happen? Its just a little bit and then it is clear again.

Is it harmful to the fish, or should I not worry about it?

Nothing to worry about. When you 'clean' a filter some muck gets disturbed and is blown out when switched on
