FOOD: I feed my adult bettas 3 or 4 Hikari brand bio-gold betta pellets daily. I also give them a few thawed out frozen bloodworms once a week as a treat. I've tried feeding them one shelled pea at a time (good for their digestion), but they don't seem to like them and they mess up my tanks.
TANKS: My tanks aren't filtered, but I change 90% of the water once per week. These tanks aren't heated either, but the room temperature is never below 72°. They are currently in one gallon tanks, but I'd like to upgrade them to 2-1/2 gallon tanks and get heaters for them.
IMPORTANT: It seems to me that the majority of the people here think that keeping the water clean is the single most important aspect of raising a healthy betta. Some recommend doing 100% changes twice per week.
I highly recommend that you read the "pinned" topics at the start of the betta section. There is much valuable information available there for you.
