Female Sword Tail

In the last couple of days, my female sword tail has become really fat, she has a really big belly on her at the moment is she pregnant?

Im feeding the fish twice a day on flakes.

Can you see a gravid spot? ...feeding twice a day sounds a bit much to me... as long as your not overfeeding then I guess it's ok,but if you are overfeeding you female swordtail might just be fat.

a gravid spot is a black spot behind the stomach of the fish. as the female gets more and more pregant u will notice its increasing

Maybe this can help....this is a VERY preggo Swordtail The gravid spot is the DARK area behind her stomach which is silvery.
