Female Convict Is The Bully

Ok, well i got rid of the male i had cause he killed my female ...

I put a smaller female i got back from my friend and she was alone in the tank for a few days. Than i went to the shop and got another male and put in with her. The male is a tad smaller than her. Well they were acting fine at first and would just swim around. Now she is chasing him around the tank. Should i be worried? I know males do the chasing but never heard of females doing it :\...

I would guess (and it is only guessing) that if the female is larger and not ready to spawn she will chase off the smaller male, usually they would breed with the biggest and fittest male, but she should come round if he is the only male in the tank.

yep he is the only male. The male i had killed his female so i gave him back to my friend and she gave me another female but had no more males to give so ya i went and got another male :\...

I have read to get a female ready, you warm the water? or do water changes? is this true? I read this on the web.
