i am thinking of changing my 60litre to an all female betta tank, but would like some other fish if possible...
if i were to have other fish what is the minimum number of female bettas i should keep in a group.
what is the maximum number of female bettas i could keep in a 60litre with no other fish?

You coukd have 5-6 in a 60l imo anymore and theres not enough space. Any less than 5 and they'll fight

I keep five girls in a 96l with GloFish, cories, and kuhli loaches. No problems at all, though the girl bettas are absolute pigs when it comes to feeding! My blue VT's name is "Jelly Roll."

I had 5 in my 80 litre but lost 1, luckily by then they'd sorted the pecking order.
They'll always have their disagreements, but I'd say 5 is a good number to prevent serious bullying, & I agree, they are pigs when it comes to feeding time

Okay, so I am a discus guy by nature, but have given up on them for a while to go back to truly dedicating time to a 55g planted tank that I have somewhat neglected. I have a lovely red male in there with Lemon Tetras and two Angels and five cories. I would love to have a female Betta added to mix, but, not really knowing the dynamics of Bettas, I am sealing your opinions here. Should I totally avoid adding a female or if I do, should it be five like I am seeing in this post. I am not opposed to removing the Lemons to another tank.

Male & female Betta should not be kept together as they will fight & possibly kill each other.
It has been done occasionally, but only in large very well planted tanks, & isn't recommended.
I'd be worried about your male & your angels, but sounds as if that's ok so far

Worry as in fin nipping? They pay him no mind and vice versa. In fact they all seem to travel different strata all day
