How often (if at all) can i be feeding Sprats to my DAT, Ropefish and Chalceus?

I didn't realise that they are quite an oily fish, i only feed a few small chunks of flesh at a time with any bones i see removed.

On the occasions i have fed this i have tested for nitrite in the evening and the following morning just to check my filters can handle it (although no doubt it will increase the overall nitrates).

So was wondering how often from a nutritional point of view i should use Sprats (if at all)

FYI - i tend to use Prawns normally as their main meaty feed (about twice a week).

Thanks

When feeding oily fish like sprats i find it is best to run a venturi or large airstone in the tank to stop any oily film from forming on the surface and keep the oil suspended in the water where the filters can pick it up.

As with all foods it is best to feed as wide of a variety of foods as possible so feeding with sprats once or twice a week is pleanty.
