I was given some Mangetout so taking the little peas out and squashed them, placing in the tank the fish eat all four, i don't put anymore in as i don't know if these peas are ok for my fish? and can they eat the pod. can someone who as use these or have knowledge of this peas, would be kindly received :)

i have only used garden peas to feed my fish, i normally drop them into some hot water for a min or two then squeeze the meaty part out of the skin and feed that... the fish love it.

A completely edible pea, mange tout, would probably be just as good for the fish as common garden peas. You could even eat the pods after giving the fish the peas inside. It sounds like a win-win situation to me. You both get some greens in your diet.

Thank's but will it make me go to the loo like the fish lol, but thanks for your reply I was thinking no one know about them as the other night i feed my fish with them but only 3 i think as i didn't know much about them, and with no one replying i trashed them. So I will get some more if you think they will do the fish some good :)

I very much doubt the pod would get eaten - its too tough to tear up - unless you have a BN plec who would probably love it! A word of warning - when you mush up your peas add tiny pieces as the fish are greedy and apt to get pieces lodged in their mouths! (one of my danios did this and I had to net him and get it out!)
