Brought a 5 gallon tank for my mantis shrimp and i read throught the instructions supplied and it says about 2 fans that are ment to be in the lid to stop the area around the lighting building up condensation??? But for some odd reason i dont have these fans.

Heres a link to let you know what tank i have (mine is the MT30 but for some reason its not listed but you get the idea whats its like from the pictures) and if anyone knows if that because its the smallest tank in the range that it doesnt come with the cooling fans??

http://www.aquaworldlimited.co.uk/acatalog...u_MT_Range.html

Going to ring my LFS and se what they say and if its possible to buy the parts needed to diy fit the fans myself.

I dont see any mention of fans on there. It is likely that the instructions cover a whole range of tanks and this one just doesnt have fans.

You could most likely mod it fairly easierly with a hole saw, some PC fans and a DC power supply.

Rang up my LFS today and they explained to me that there was a design fault and were removed from the lids and never put back for some strange reason. The lid has the holes in it and even the fixing points so it would only be a case of getting some of the fans from aquaworld and getting a dc power supply.

However i dont know if ill need them just yet as i can say ime experiencing any heat problems or condensation build up inside the light compartment.
