Fake Grass

I seen a tank that used fake grass in it. It looked beautiful! I would like to do this. I presume I just use wrocks and put the fake grass in there. What else should I do?

well i think you will find this type of fake plant will attract alot of uneatern food and as its so sharp and pointed the fish wont like to go throw it looking for food

Ive got fake grass in two of my tanks. I just siliconed it to a piece of roof slate to keep it down, here it is in my coldwater tank and the dojo loaches love rooting about in it so there isnt a problem with uneaten food.

The other tank that has it houses my blue lobster who gets wafers and prawns so none gets stuck and left in there either.

You can get different kinds and the cheaper ones might well be quite sharp and hard but the stuff I got is fine.

damn, your tanks are brilliant. my mom won't let me get sand because they had a bad experience. I really want it bad.

Thanks very much. What was the bad experience?.....I think the effect is worth the extra maintenance.

All they tell me was that it was a nightmare. I doubt she'll even swing by to let me get sand. I just think they were doing it all wrong.
