Good day everyone and welcome to yet another scaly birthday celebration!

Shown here is a lizard that some of you may not have seen or heard of yet, Luzon Giant Forest Skink (Sphenomorphus cumingi)

This was him when he was a baby. Barely 1.5" long amd rarely seen above the soil.

4 months later, he was a flamboyant wanderer :D

For his bday, he had lots of snails, millipedes and rotten figs that he loves sooo much :D

Wow hes beautiful, how big does this giant get?

Giant is just a name. A blue tongue is still bigger though lol. Around 12-14 inches long with a 7-inch girth :D

Nice lizard is love the markings :)

You'll love the red eyes. The more millipedes they eat the more vibrant red their eyes become :D

YaaaY more native Philippine species! We find these here in Mindanao and call them sun skinks or even mini croc skinks.

I'm actually in Davao now. We're doing an exploration with Nat Geo, WWF, Haribon foundation, DENR as well as some local conservation groups :D..

Where do you stay in Mindanao?

In Cagayan de Oro. there are good spots where to get these, but since I got busy with school again its kind of hard to hunt nowadays. All I get to do is rescue snakes, I just rescued a mangrove snake a while back
