Emerald Crabs?

Can i keep 4 emerald crabs in a 500 gallon that is 8'x36"x30"?

You can keep Mithrax together, especially in that size so long as you have loads of rock, so long as they can get away from each other they are ok, if they come accross each other, they stand a chance of killing or being killed.

I hate crabs. well, except for the one I put in my first chamber in the sump. They are opportunists and are great at decimating the microfauna in your tank. Especially hermits (which aren't really crabs)Just an FYI.

Here's the guy I put in my sump. He is in the first chamber where the water drains from the main display. Helps catch some leftover food, I guess...lol. I liked the coloration so I bought him.
