Hello guys!

this is a kind of emergency! I lost one elephant time ago, and I do not want for it to happen!

1 week ago, I lost 2 angel fish, they had fin rotten. I put them in a quarantine tank, did the cure, but was too late!

I did 2 BIG water of change ( i got a 450 liters juwel fish tank ), the last one was last sunday!

I notice a couple of days ago in the head of the elephant a little slime coat. I know they are very very sensitive to chemical in the water, but I never did any cure str8 away in the aquarium!

Today I notice, the patch is almost 4 times bigger and does not look nice at all! I did a water test and I notice that ammonia is 0.25 and nitrate 5.0. Planning to do an other water change tomorrow and vacum again the glavel.

Possible the elephant fish got this slime cos ammonia and nitrate? Or it is a fungus or ? I been looking on internet for at list 1 hour, could not find anything!

HELPPPP :( :shout: :shout: :shout:

please

Hard to tell on the pic i'm afraid as the quality not to good.
Fish produce more slime coat in bad water quality to protect them selves.
Columnaris had many disguises from looking like bleaching beneath the skin, greyish white slimey patches, or looks like cotton wool.
Keep doing daily water changes.
is the tank still cycling.
