I have a pair of electric blue acara and they just layed a ton of eggs today. I am sitting here and notice that they keep splashing the water. I looked at they are going at it. They are locking lips. Is this normal? They didn’t do this with the other eggs they laid.

I've experienced this before, but my wife doesn't splash water.....

It's totally normal to show aggression while mating. As long as one of them isn't being beaten to death, there is nothing to worry about. They'll be back to parenting in a couple days.

Ok thanks. I’ve never seen it before and just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong
