Could someone that is more experienced in EI help me with my numbers and dosing regieme please?

I have a 90 Litre tank (+3 litre filter) that is fairly heavily planted. I run proper CO2 and currently dose 5ml of TPN+ when ever I can get to the tank (usually 2-3 times a week). I change 50-75% of the water at least once a week sometimes twice.

Lighting is currently 2 x 15w T8 but upgrading to 2 x 24w T5 soon.

I'm not convinved my nutrients are staying high enough and TPN+ is expensive. I'd like to move onto EI but the numbers leave me very confused (I'm just not good at numbers).

They way I understand it I can mix up 2 bottles of nutrients, 1 for macros and 1 for micros and then dose liquids twice weekly.

Could someone help with my recipie and dosing schedule?

Thanks in advance.

Any way of making the dosing regieme twice weekly instead of 5 times weekly? I can't guarantee that I'll get to the tank 3 times a week.

You'd add the total amount of each chem and divide by the number of days you're able to dose. Keeping in mind that Trace should be dosed seperately to the rest.
It's not really ideal tho.

If TPN+ is working for you at the moment (whilst looking to increase doaage) you might want to consider making your own with the Tropica alternative recipe from James' planted tank or using a cheaper substitute like TNC Complete.

Agreed. The idea of EI is to provide a constant supply of nutrients that are dosed to a slight excess of the plant's needs to ensure they never run out of nutrients. Dosing regularly ensures this.
