I know you agree
My 4.5 inch nimbochromis venustus has been a little shy lately I thought maybe bullying and two male johanni will be removed this week so all I did was lkower the temperature abit this fish is pretty tough so i expect it to last a few more days with the johanni. But today As I was feeding the fish I noticed my venustus come out of the rocks, then she spat, I at first thought she was digging even though not a mbuna but i looked closer and it apeared to be eggs 5 of them two of what looked like better ones(rounder and such) were eaten imediately the other three were sort of crunched and within a few seconds were eaten again by a johanni.
She/he is only half the full length right now so I would not expect them to be eggs although they apeared to be. There is no other nimbochromis species in the tank or even hap for it to breed with so It can't be eggs then right? or is this normal for them to carry unfertalized eggs but then she so young.
Can anyone clarify for me? thanks
